Dad has his orange ear plugs corked in and mom is probably tired enough to sleep through my father’s stormy snores. Then there is me. Eyes clicking around the room like a timer, feet fiddling with the end of my blanket, ready to sneak out.

In this case a 4 letter letter acronym did the trick in its irony. Y.o.l.o. was all I had to text, and I had her dressed in 5, and in the car in 10. Car sped to another warehouse and dj launch party, while my lips kissed the rim of the smirnoff bottle, not wasting anytime. Blurry familiar faces passed as my cup filled and mind loosened. Dwindling to an end I got back to the dorms to hang out with Ming-Ming, where our eyes dipped back and forth from  the burning paper and the city skyline.
